Could 53 Inch Thule AeroBlade Bars Be Installed onto a 2011 Honda Fit
Question:
The Thule recommended Aeroblade load bar length for a Honda Fit is 47 inches. Do you know if the 53 inch Aeroblades will work? Do the slots on the bottom go in far enough? Thank you,

Expert Reply:
A 53 inch Thule AeroBlade Load Bars # THARB53 would install onto your 2011 Honda Fit in the same way that the recommended 47 inch AeroBlade would. The reason the 53 inch bar is not recommended is because it will hang over and additional 3 inches on either side of your vehicle which might cause clearance issues. For example you would be more likely to hit your head on the bar since it would be hanging over the edge of the vehicle further.
The part numbers you would need to install an AeroBlade roof rack with the 53 inch bars would be # THARB53, # TH480R, # THKIT1465. I attached a review video for this product for you to check out also.
