How to Test to See if Redarc Tow Pro Controller is Functional
Question:
I just had the Redarc TBC installed. As I wont take delivery of the camper I need it for until April is there any way to check that it is operating correctly without a trailer? Will this TBC calibrate for direction of travel when no trailer is connected? The instructions dont mention hooking up a trailer to calibrate. At present the LED only comes on when I press the knob in. Thanks.

The controller will need to have a trailer connected for it to work. Your best option would be to find a buddy with a trailer who has working brakes and connect to it and see if the brakes work. Or you can put a volt meter on the brake output circuit (5:00 pin) and the ground pin (7:00) and the controller should at that point think that a trailer is connected.
