Will the Curt Circuit Protected Converter C56175 Protect the Vehicle in the Event of a Short

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Curt Circuit Protected Converter part # C56175 as the title states is circuit protected. This means that inside the converter box there is essentially an auto-reset breaker on each circuit. If there is a short on the trailer and more than 3 amps tries to pass through the converter box on either stop/turn signal circuit or 7.5 amps on the tail light circuit then the converter box will shut down and isolate the vehicle wiring until the short is fixed. Therefore, your vehicles wiring will be absolutely protected with the above harness.
