Can a Dual Hitch Receiver be Used with the Curt Trailer Hitch Mounted Spare Tire Carrier

What is the weight limit that the curt c31006 can carry? Is there any hitch receivers available that the curt c31006 can be used in conjunction with to haul 2” receiver hitch haul at the same time as the tire carrier?

The Curt Trailer Hitch Mounted Spare Tire Carrier # C31006 actually doesn't have a weight capacity. We have contacted Curt about this in the past and they say that it can handle the weight of any tire/wheel combo that fits on it.

You could potentially use the Curt Dual 2" Receiver Tube Adapter # D-192 so that you can also utilize a cargo carrier like the Reese # 63153 at the same time but please keep in mind that a dual hitch adapter like this reduces the overall weight rating of your trailer hitch by 50% and your spare tire will likely take up a large portion of the space you would use for your cargo.
