Installing Tekonsha T-One Wiring Harness # 118252 on 2018 Lexus RX 350L with Tow Package

Question:

I have 2018 Lexus rx350l...I had dealer run vin and they confirm that the truck is wired for trailer hitch...I can’t seem to find the plug ...this is on the 350 L model..I can seem to find anyone on this sight that has installed it on theL model

I spoke with my contact at Tekonsha and he said that if your 2018 Lexus RX 350L has the tow package there should be a factory plug somewhere on the driver side behind the rear bumper into which the Tekonsha # 118252 will connect. You may need to dig around a bit to find the plug which will have a protective cap on it. He said that there isn't a difference with the factory wiring between the Lexus 350 and 350L models.

I have attached an installation video that you can follow along with but keep in mind that the plug on your 2018 Lexus may not be in the same exact spot. It may be a bit more towards the center of the vehicle tucked away.

Please let me know if you still can't locate the plug and I will look into this further.
