Installation of Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch on 2017 BMW X5 2017
Question:
2017 BMW X5 2017 does not have the Mpackage If I have a hitch install does the plastique bumper have to cut in some way. Cause their is a big difference in price between BMW installation and youre installation. Maybe there is a piece replace.

The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 75600 for your 2017 BMW X5 does not require any trimming based on the bumper as shown in the attached video. This hitch is a fit for many model years and some of them require trimming of that fascia. I've attached a photo to show you the trimming needed on some model years.
In most cases the installation from a dealer is the same they just have to cover their overhead costs. I am not familiar enough with a different procedure or product from BMW, so I don't know if they have a replacement piece or not, but you see all that is required with this Draw-Tite installation in the attached video.
