Curt TriFlex Trailer Brake Controller Shows While Driving
Question:
Dealer installed a Curt C24VV in my 2003 Toyota Sequoia. The controller use to illuminate a number value when I press the brake peddle. The C24VV now stays illuminated with 2 dash lines in the display. It has worked flawlessly until now. Should I have 2 dash lines? Thanks

If the Curt TriFlex Trailer Brake Controller part # C24VV is showing a "--" in your 2003 Toyota Sequoia while driving then this points to an issue with the power and or ground supply. I would first start off by removing the ground, sanding down the surface, and then reconnecting with new hardware/connectors. Once the ground is checked you will then need to move onto the power wire tracing it back to the battery while looking for breaks. I would also make sure the ring terminal around the positive battery cable is tight.
If both the power and/or ground are checked but to no avail then there may be an issue with the brake controller. If that is the case then you will need to contact the manufacturer or dealer that installed the brake controller as it has a lifetime warranty.
