Can 7-Way 12 Volt Accessory Circuit of 2013 Ford F-250 be Active all the Time

Question:

2013 Ford 250. Does the ignition need to be turned on for interior dome lights to work. Can the ignition be bypassed.

A lot of vehicles do have the 12 volt accessory circuit of the 7-way only active when the vehicle key is on. It's not hard to disable this feature but you'll have to run wire from directly from the vehicle battery to the trailer connector. For that you'd want to run a length of 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 (sold by the foot) through a breaker like part # 9510 to the positive battery post.
