Question:
Thanks! Is there a reason to use that hitch instead of the draw-tite?

For your 2017 BMW X1, I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C13303 which is a confirmed fit and will have a hidden crossbeam. It has a very durable gloss black finish to prevent rust and corrosion.
Then I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Connector # 118717 for your trailer wiring harness. This custom harness will connect to your factory wiring harness behind your tail lights and then draw power directly from your vehicle battery to protect your electronics.
I recommend using the mounting bracket # 18144 along with the no drill bracket # C57202. Then for a ball mount, I recommend the B&W Tow & Stow 2-Ball Mount - 2" Hitch - 3" Drop, 3-1/2" Rise - 10K - Black # BWTS10033B which has a unique stowing feature when not in use. It also comes with 2 hitch balls and is adjustable to tow multiple trailers level. You can secure your investment with a hitch lock like # e98880.
If you prefer a fixed mount, I've linked the page to your options and have attached an article to assist with measuring for the correct rise or drop needed.
Your car can handle the weight of your motorcycle and trailer without issue.
