No Running Light on Passenger Tail Light with New Led Lights Installed
Question:
Hi I have a cargo trailer with led tail lights. Driver side is fine but no running light on passenger. passenger brake and blinker are fine. I purchased a new led, installed and same problem. it appears red is brakes, white is turn signal and nothing to the black wire. Would this also be a ground issue? Thanks

It sounds like you may have the wires mixed up at the back of your passenger side tail light. If the tail light uses the same bulb for the brake and turn signal as most trailers in the USA do then it will use one wire for both functions. For example, the Miro-Flex LED Trailer Tail Light part # STL22RB with the Right Angle Pigtail part # A47PB installs using three wires; red, white, and black. The white wire is for the ground, the black wire is for the running light, and the red wire is for the stop/turn signal light. I would check to see if the back of the tail light specifies which wire is for which circuit but if not the above will be a good guide to follow.
