For your 2017 Honda Pilot with naked roof you will need to first add a roof rack. I recommend the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars # RRVA137B-2, 2500 Series Legs # RRRLKVA, and Custom DK Fit Kit # DK444. I've attached a video of the similar fit on a 2018 CR-V for reference only. Then I recommend the Rhino-Rack Ski and Snowboard Carrier # RR573. The channel mount will secure the carrier and give you a really clean look.
