Do Spring Bars of Curt Weight Distribution System C17323 Remove When Uninstalling

Do the sway bars stay attached to hitch or do they remove for ease of hitch removal from vehicle?

The spring bars of the Curt weight distribution system part # C17322 do remove when you uninstall the system. You'd lower the bars first and then you'd pull the pins out of the trunnions and slide the bars out.
