Tire Chains for a 2010 Ford F-150 with 275/55-20 Tires

Question:

Ford says dont use snow chains on my 2010 F150, P175/55/R20 tires. Im going to the local mountains, and my 4 wheel drive isnt adequate for significant snow conditions based on prior experience. What do you suggest?

For starters, I think you meant 275/55-20 as a 175/55-20 would be much too small of a tire for your truck. If that is the case then you are correct in that the owner's manual for your 2010 Ford F-150 states not to use tire chains on this size tire. However, as you mentioned certain situations require them to pass therefore must be used. I cannot recommend you use them but you also don't have much of a choice either.

The Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains part # TC2327 are a fit for your 275/55-20 tires and they have a class s profile which is ideal for vehicle's with limited wheel well clearance like your F-150. We installed these tire chains on a 2015 Ford F-150 with even larger 275/65-18 tires and did not have any clearance issues so you should be just fine using them. I have attached this video for you below.
