Installing Tekonsha 4-Pole Hardwire Kit on 2004 Chevy Blazer
Question:
I have a 2004 Chevy Blazer. I watched the video for a 1996 Blazer. Is it the same procedure for the 2004 Blazer? If not is there a video for the 2004? Thanks a lot!

The installation process for the Tekonsha 4-Pole Hardwire Kit # 18252 on your 2004 Chevy Blazer should be similar to the one demonstrated in the video we have for the 1996 model, but I do still highly recommend testing the factory wires with the included circuit tester just to ensure the correct connections are made. We do not currently have an install video for the 2004 Blazer.
There should be a factory wiring bundle located behind the bumper structure near the spare tire. Most likely the wires from the harness and the factory wires will match up color for color but vehicle manufacturers tend to change wire colors that they use at the factory from time to time so it is always a good idea to test them for function as well.
On the Tekonsha harness the green wire is for right turn/stop, the yellow wire is for left turn/stop, the brown wire is for running lights, and the white wire is for ground.
