Replacement 14K Pro Series Square Spring Bar with Friction Sway Control

Question:

Cant locate replacement part # for pro series spring bar. Its square and is rated 14000. It has a head with two round knobs that fit into slots on the hitch and a square bar about 32inch - 34inch that sits on a ledge that has a friction pad and a thin galvanized cover that stops it from bouncing off pad.

I would love to help but I spoke with my contact at Pro Series and they informed me that the replacement spring bars you are inquiring about have been obsolete for quite some time which means replacements are no longer available. Unfortunately, the only option I have for you would be to switch to a new system. For this, we have the Reese Weight Distribution System part # RP66131 without sway control or the Reese Weight Distribution System part # RP66130 with sway control which are both rated for 1,500 lbs tongue weight.

The above systems do not come with either a shank or a hitch ball but you should be able to use the ones you have now to save you some of the cost. If you were able to find the correct spring bar somewhere you would be in the same boat if anything else were to break or go missing so you would be better off upgrading now to save you any future headaches down the road.
