Wiring the Redarc Auxiliary Trailer Battery Charger to Haulmark Edge Race Trailer
Question:
Hi, looking to charge Aux battery in my Haulmark Edge race trailer from my tow vehicle - in running the red wire that goes from Redarc to the 7 way hitch connector, is it safe to route through my existing junction box 38656, or do I need something more robust? Running 8 gauge from Redarc to aux battery not a problem Thanks

Wiring your 12V off your 7-way to a trailer junction box like # 38656 is not an issue. I recommend running the higher 8 gauge wire from your vehicle battery to your 7-way, and then from the trailer side 7-way to and from your junction box as well. This will ensure the correct current flow with your Redarc In-Vehicle BCDC Battery Charger # 331-BCDC1225D and the 40-Amp MIDI Fuse Kit for Redarc In-Vehicle 25-Amp BCDC Battery Charger # 331-FK40.
