Will High-Low Adapter with Large Rise Affect Hitch Capacity

Question:

Looking at flat towing our 2011 Wrangler with the D-ring bumper. Youve provided a good list of parts for this configuration however, due to the height differential between the RV hitch at 15 and the Jeep D-rings at 28, we would need to use a minimum 10inch rise adapter. Our RV hitch is rated at 5000lbs. Im concerned that using an adapter with this much offset might induce too much torque on the RV hitch. If so, I would need to go the base-plate option instead to lower the Jeep attach points. Is this a valid concern, or am I just overthinking it?

Using the Roadmaster High-Low Adapter # RM-048-10 to get you within the tow bar's Safe Zone (3 inches above or below level) is absolutely fine. The 10-1/4 inch rise that this adapter provides will not negatively affect the capacity of your RV's hitch or any other component of your flat tow setup. It is designed to be used in this application and will work perfectly.

I have attached a short video review of this high-low adapter that you can also check out.
