Trailer Hitch for 2011 VW Golf Wagon TDI
Question:
Please advise, what is the difference between CURT 11072 and CURT 11474. Will the 11072 fit on my 2011 GOLF WAGON TDI? Thank you

There is a trailer hitch that fits your 2011 VW Golf Wagon TDI, but the Curt hitch you referenced will not fit the TDI models (additionally, there is no difference between the hitches, the 11474 is simply the replacement for the 11072 so they are just different part numbers).
The trailer hitch that does fit your '11 Golf Wagon TDI is the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11474, which is a Class I hitch with a 1-1/4 inch receiver, 2,000 lb towing capacity and 200 lb tongue weight capacity though please check your owner's manual to find the capacity of your Golf and do not exceed that.
The correct ball mount for this trailer hitch is the Draw-Tite # 3593; this ball mount does come with a pin and clip though you will also need a hitch ball, either 2" Hitch Ball # 19258 or 1-7/8" Hitch Ball # 19256 depending on the size of your trailer's coupler.
For wiring which will give you a 4-way connector and allow you to power your trailer's lights you need Wiring Harness # 119250KIT. It is also recommended you use Dielectric Grease for Electrical Connectors # 11755 to help prevent any type of corrosion in your connector, which will increase its durability and extend its lifespan.
