Troubleshooting Brake Controller That Shows ER Code on Display

It started flashing Er even when vehicle is turned off

The Er display code means that there is an internal problem with the brake controller itself. That's typically not a great sign and usually means the controller needs to be replaced, but sometimes you can get lucky and just unplugging the controller and plugging it back it fixes the issue.
