Wiring Electric Brake Assemblies on Dexter Trailer Axle # 35545E-ST-EZ-89

Question:

I ordered the 35545E-ST-EZ-89 trailer axle and I want to know if the brake electromagnets came wired together or do I have to wire them to each other when I connect it to my existing trailer wiring.

Each of the electric brake assemblies on the Trailer Axle # e43SR feature a ground wire and power wire but the two assemblies are not wired together out of the box. If you have existing 7-Way wiring on the trailer you will just need to run a jumper wire from whichever side the brake output wire is run to on the trailer to the brake assembly on the other side. We recommend using 12 gauge wire like # 12-1-1 (sold by the foot) for this purpose.

I have attached a brake assembly diagram to assist.
