Will 2018 Ford Explorer Bumper Need to be Modified or Cut to Install Trailer Hitch

Hey so quick question. Will installing a trailer hitch on my new 2018 Ford Explorer require me to cut the bumper or anything like that?

There are 3 trailer hitches available for your 2018 Ford Explorer and none of them require any kind of modification to the rear bumper on the vehicle. All are custom hitches that use existing holes in the Explorer's frame for a no-drill installation and will sit directly below the factory bumper.

Between the 3 options I recommend the Draw-Tite Class III Max Frame Receiver Hitch # 76034 because it features the highest towing and tongue weight capacities which simply indicates a stronger hitch. The welded-on bracket also allows for easy mounting of a trailer wiring connector.
