2019 Entegra 29K Class C Motorhome Anti-Sway Bars

Question:

Just took delivery of my new MH and drove home about 100mi. Steering felt a bit loose and vehicle appeared to drift a little, also felt the sway when trucks would pass me on the freeway. Manufacture noted option inch EZDRIVE Computer-balanced driveshaft, standard front and rear stabilizer bars, Hellwig helper springs, rubber isolation body mounts, which to me sounds like only thing added was the Hellwig helper springs! I have been reviewing front /rear sway bars on your website also the front reflex steering stabilizer. Your thoughts on these parts helping with the drift and sway? Also can you identify the correct part numbers for my unit? and advise Thank You

Helpful Expert Reply:

Aftermarket sway bars and stabilizers do make a difference in the handling of most motorhomes since they are usually far superior to the OEM-grade components. Class C coaches like your 2019 Entegra Odyssey which is built on a Ford E-450 chassis will drive better with aftermarket products that will tighten up the steering and reduce the sway from passing trucks and wind gusts.

For your E-Series cutaway chassis I recommend the Roadmaster front anti-sway bar # RM-1139-176 and rear anti-sway bar # RM-1139-147, which is the item you referenced in your question. The two sway bars replace the OEM units.

I also linked our primary page for all accessory products for your E-450 Entegra in case there are other enhancements you wish to make.

Adding a steering stabilizer will drastically improve the steering and overall stability of your RV while on the road. For the E-450 chassis your Odyssey is built on the Roadmaster # RM-RBK24-RSSC will work perfectly. Install time is around 1 hour - probably a little less for an RV shop that would have lots of experience in this type of thing.
