Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2018 Chevy Equinox
Question:
What trailer hitch should I get for my 2018 Chevy Equinox? I want to tow a small trailer that I have.

For your 2018 Chevy Equinox the trailer hitch I recommend is the Draw Tite part # 76419 if you have a gasoline engine or the part # 76217 if you diesel engine. Both of these are 2 inch trailer hitches with plenty of towing capacity but they also have a concealed crosstube which means they'll be considerably less visible as well. See the attached picture. I also attached an install video for the # 76419 for you to check out too.
For trailer wiring you'd then want the part # 118750 because it does not require splicing into your vehicle wiring and because it has the most reliable converter box of all of the kits we offer.
Since you plan on doing some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.
If the ball mount kit does not include a ball mount with the right rise or drop to tow the trailer level, check out the link I have included that explains how to measure to choose a ball mount to tow the trailer level.
