Compatibility of Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch and Adapter for 2017 Nissan Titan XD Pucks

Question:

I have 2017 Nissan Titan XD with the OEM puck system with 6 1/2 ft bed. Using your formula in the description my numbers arent coming out as if this would work. The 5th wheel Im looking at purchasing is 96inch wide. I have attached the spec sheet. I understand this has more capacity than what is needed. But it is what I could find with this much travel. Im wanting to stay with something that will the puck system fo the truck if possible. The salesman was talking like they never heard of anything that works with the puck system. Was trying to sell my on hitch that requires drilling and welding. Hopeful you can help me clarify if this will work.

For your 2017 Nissan Titan XD with OEM pucks, we have confirmed the fit of the Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider - Single Jaw - Above Bed - 18,000 lbs # DM8550034 when using the adapter # DM6200 for compatibility with your OEM pucks.

Your spec sheet didn't come through for the RV, but I can tell you that Demco is the only company that has the puck adapter confirmed to fit your truck from any of our manufacturers. It is very likely the salesmen simply isn't familiar with Demco or this specific adapter which mounts in the gooseneck hole and the safety chain sockets of your OEM system. Even if you were to use a different hitch, the adapter will give you the rail system so you wouldn't need any bolts or welding.

The Autoslide will sense pressure on your pin box when turning more than 10-15 degrees and will adapt to give you turning clearances needed. There is 14 inches of travel on this hitch that pivots at the head as it travels. If your trailer has a cushioned pin box, there are locking plates required for this hitch to allow them to be compatible.

The measurement for clearance with your trailer will be the center of 5th wheel hitch (not gooseneck although that will be extremely close) to the cab plus 14 to account for the travel. Then you will subtract from that number 48. The difference will be your clearance. If your trailer has an extended pin box that will increase the clearance.
