How to Determine What Axle is on Trailer to Pick Out Torflex Lift Kit

Question:

I have a 2017 Lance 1575 and would like to lift the trailer. How can I determine what axle I have on my trailer? and do you know what parts I need to make the lift? Also, I would like to change the tires from 14 inches to 15 inches. Thanks for all your help.

Expert Reply:

You can check the plate near the coupler of the trailer that has the VIN and GVWR rating info and the axles should be listed there. Or you can check the axles themselves and they are typically labelled with brand info etc. The Torflex Lift Kit # K71-723-01 that you referenced would require the axle to be the #9 Torflex axles with a 2,000-lb capacity. This will lift the trailer 2-5/8 inches.
