When you go to install the Prodigy P3 part # 90195 in your 2018 Toyota Tacoma the controller has to be level from side to side and face directly towards the rear of the vehicle so that the inertia sensor of the controller can get an exact reading on how much braking pressure you are applying and then apply a relative amount to the trailer's brakes. The install harness you need then is the part # 3031-P which plugs into the back of the controller and then into the port under the dash of your truck.
The picture I attached shows how the controller needs to be mounted.
