Can Trailer Wiring with 5 Wires be Ran to 4-Way with 4 Wires

Question:

Having issues with my lights on the trailer is has 5 wires a white,yellow,green,green with grey strip, and a brown with yellow strip went to Napa for a new plug for the trailer and they can only get a 4 wire plug white,brown,green, yellow, how do you make that work??

The wiring of your trailer that has 5 wires ran to it can be wired to a 4-way. Basically the setup you have now has the running light circuit separated out for each side of the trailer whereas typically 4-ways will only have a single circuit for this. So the white wires will match , the yellow will go to yellow, the green to green, and then the brown of the new 4-way will get ran to the both of the remaining two circuits and you'll be good.
