Troubleshooting Furrion Universal Remote After Changing Batteries

Question:

When we put fresh batteries in our furrion universal remote, the TV button starts flashing or pulsating. We cannot get it to stop. It will not control the TV. Is it indicating that it is set to operate a Fireplace which we do not have? This remote worked fine a month ago. Thanks so much for any help you can provide.

There are a number of reasons why your Furrion Unismart Universal Remote Control # FR34FR may be having issues after you changed the batteries. If you take a look at the cut out of the linked installation instructions I added you can see the potential issues. There can be damage to the remote (thus requiring a replacement) if the new batteries were installed in reverse of how they should have been, different types of batteries are used together, or if the spring terminal comes into contact with a damaged battery.

It seems likely one of these issues is the cause of the problems you are having, as you should be able to press the TV button on the remote and have it work without any other issues.

I have had a Furrion unismart remote for about a 5 weeks now and it has stopped working. Tried to re-program but no luck. Can you please help me.

Unfortunately there's not much troubleshooting you can do with a remote. Have you tried switching out the batteries? If new batteries don't help then there's likely an internal issue and the remote will need to be replaced.
