Best 5th Wheel Hitch for a 2017 Nissan Titan XD Short Bed with Puck System
Question:
I have a 2017 Titan XD with a short bed and puck system. I will be pulling a 2007 Keystone Cougar 311RLS. Because the truck is a short bed and I would like to use the factory puck system, what type of slider is available and if none is available what type of system do you suggest to keep the cab from coming in contact with the trailer. Thanks

I have the perfect option for you to tow a 2007 Keystone Cougar 311RLS with your 2017 Nissan Titan XD. For this, I recommend using the Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider part # DM8550034 with the Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter for Nissan Titan XD part # DM6200. The Hijacker with the use of the Rail Adapter will allow you to retain the factory puck system on your Titan.
It offers up to 14" of travel which should give you plenty of clearance between the cab of your truck and loft of your trailer. The best feature is that you do not have to exit and enter the vehicle each and every time you wish to make a 90 degree turn as the hitch will automatically shift back and forth when needed. It also has a unique 3/4" wraparound locking jaw for both security and reduced chucking/jarring.
I have attached a review video of the Hijacker for you as well.
