How to Hardwire LED Light Bar on 2018 Ford F-150

Question:

I have a 2018 f150 with a lariat trim. The factory trailer connector is a 7 pin pollak. The colors I am seeing on the harness don’t match any diagrams I have seen. I am trying to hard wire a led light bar that has L and R turn signal brake lights running lights and reverse lights. I need some help figuring out the wiring configuration if possible so I could do this right the first time. Please see all attached photos for help. I am specifically trying to see which colors I have that correspond with the connector positions and functions. Thank you in advance.

There is no standard, universal color-coded wiring and using wire color as a way to determine function is unreliable. And though the photos did not come through, you can still easily figure out how to hardwire your LED light bar to your 2018 Ford F-150; you just need to use a circuit tester like # PTW2992 and have someone that can help you out for a short while.

All you need to do is use the circuit tester at your harness and have your helper engage the turn signals, brake lights, reverse lights and turn on the running lights. If you take a look at the accompanying diagram you can see what the pins on your Ford's 7-way are which should help make it easier; you can use this with the circuit tester to make finding the correct wires a really quick process.
