It is recommended to at least have chains on the drive wheels of a vehicle. So in your case you would want them at least on the front wheels. It would not hurt to have them on all four, it should help with handling and braking, but you should also be fine just to have them on the front. You will still want to check with the owners manual to make sure that there are not any restrictions on snow chains on all four wheels or just on the front wheels.
