Recommended 5th Wheel Hitch for 2018 Ram 3500 6-1/2 Bed Puck System Towing a 2018 Montana 3120RL
Question:
We are in th process of buying a new Montana 3120 trailer on order and are looking to replace our current curt A16 non-slider hitch. I have been happy with the performance of the A16, so I was looking at either the A20 or Q20 sliders. But I am wondering a couple of things, first is there a better slider option for the Ram 3500 with factory puck system, like BandW? Will the taller Curt hitch adjustable of 17.5-21.5 inches be an issue with the 3500 and Montana 3120RL? My main goals for the hitch are #1 hitch towing performance, #2 weight of hitch and ability to remove from bed. Thanks for your advice on this.

If you are looking for a lighter 5th wheel hitch that also has great performance that fits the puck system on your 2018 Ram 3500 with the 6-1/2' bed then I recommend going with the Curt A20 # C16541 with the Adapter Rails # C16022.
All together this kit weighs about 300 lbs but the adapter is about 80 and then you can also remove the (about) 100 lb head unit as well to make it easier to install/remove.
I do like the B&W Companion # BWRVK3670 that you mentioned as well but it weighs about 300 lbs and only the 70 lb head is removable so the base will be much more difficult to move around.
