Low-Profile Rooftop Cargo Box Dimensions

Hello, I am looking for an extra low profile roof box for my 2009 Honda Element. However, due to some requirements, Im having a tough time finding the right one. The Element is 70.5inch tall and with the Yakima Control Towers and round cross bars installed, this leaves me approximately 10.5inch between the crossbars and the height of my garage entry7foot tall. I am in search of a roof box which is ideally 10inch max in heightso I can drive into my garage and long enough to fit 192 cm skis in them. I have found boxes matching either one of the 2 requirements but not both it seems. Can you help?

Your specific dimension needs do present a challenge to using a rooftop cargo box on your Yakima roof rack.

The specialized low-profile cargo boxes we offer appear on the linked page, and while these do get close to your low height requirement, the Inno Wedge 660 # INBRM660BK (black) and # INBRM660WH (white) are still 11-inches tall. Even if they were low enough to clear your garage door, they are too short for your skis; their internal length is 183cm.

We do have ski carriers that will fit on your round Yakima crossbars and these appear on the linked page. For example, the Yakima FatCat EVO 6 # Y03096 will hold 6 pairs of skis.
