Roof Rack Recommendation for 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee High Altitude

Question:

I saw the post about have a set up for flat black strip on Altitude 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the recommended package for a roof bar. My question is, any drilling required. I cant really see how the feet would attach to the flat strips. Can you elaborate on how they are mounted ? Thanks!

For your 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee there would be no drilling required at all to install a roof rack. We know that the High Altitude models have just the solid black flush rails like the picture I attached shows so the style of roof rack you'd need to install actually fits to the outsides of the black rails and clamps to the door frame. The parts you need are the following for a Thule roof rack like you mentioned:

AeroBlade Load Bars - # TH711520 for Silver
Rapid Traverse Foot Pack - # TH480R
Fit Kit - # THKIT1656
