Troubleshooting No Power on 12 Volt Pin at 7-Way on 2008 Ford F-250

Question:

Im trying to get power to the 12v charging system. What is the part number for the required relay? Is it possible the truck was not setup from the factory to accept the relay in slot 56. There is a dashed line around where the relay would be in location 56 in the Owners Manual. What does this mean? thank you in advance

I spoke with one of our installers, who's a Ford guy, and he wasn't 100 percent sure but he thinks the dashed line means the relay is internal, which makes it inaccessible. If you haven't already looked in the fuse box for the relay go ahead and see if it's there. If he's right you won't see it but there is a relay.

The easiest way to repair the 12 volt pin on your 7-way not working is to just run your own power wire. Use 10 gauge wire, part # 10-1-1, to the positive post of the truck's battery. Make sure you use a 40 amp circuit breaker, part # 9510.
