How to Determine if Thule Force XT Cargo Box will Fit and Allow Rear Cargo Door to Open

Does the Thule Force XT XL 18 cu. ft. fit the 2018 Honda CR-V with factory roof rails and crossbars, and allow for full hatch clearance? If not, would the large 16 cu. ft. be the largest one that does fit?

I checked with Thule and the Force XT part # TH6358B is a confirmed fit for the factory crossbars of your 2018 Honda CR-V. They don't have hatch clearance info listed but I can help you determine if you'd have the needed clearance. You'll need to measure from the center of the front crossbar back to the seam of your hatch on the roof of the vehicle. If that distance is more than 51-1/8 inches the box will fit and allow the hatch to open all the way. The 16 cubic foot version # TH6357B instead requires 47-1/2 inches.
