Brake Controller Wiring Adapter for Connecting a Pilot Brake Controller to a 2004 Dodge Ram Truck

Question:

Do i need an adapter for my 2004 dodge ram pu, i have a 74378 pilat electric brake controller- end of control does not match factory oem wire harness, Do I need an adapter that goes between the control and factory 4 way plug?

If the connector on the back of your Pilot brake controller, # 80550, will not plug into the connector under the dash on your 2004 Dodge Ram Pickup, you will need to use the wiring adapter, # 3020-P. I would recommend cutting off the black connector on this adapter and the plug on your controller and soldering the wires to the like colored wires coming from the back of the brake controller.
