Trailer Wiring Harness for 2011 Nissan Xterra Without Factory Trailer Connector
Question:
I cant find the location to install the Nissan blue relay on my 2011 Xterra. There is no female socket that is able to receive the prong configuration of the relay. I checked both on under the drivers side dash, on the left side of the steering column and on the passenger side by the kick plate. I also looked behind the glove box by the fuse panel. I have an aftermarket trailer light installation, and the marker lights on my trailer and the directional wont work. My car is working fine. The mechanic who did the installation checked the output of the fuse panel and he said all the outputs are live. Nothing looks like the photos on your web catalog page or the videos. Any help in finding the location to install the relay?

I believe the issue is you do not have the correct parts needed to activate the tow package on your 2011 Nissan Xterra; the blue relay from the Curt Relay Kit # C57000 alone will not allow your trailer lights to work.
What you will need is the jumper and relays to activate the tow package; the jumper is not available separately so you are going to need the Curt Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56225 which will give you the appropriate jumper and relays to activate your tow package and allow your trailer's lights to work.
I have added a link to an installation video of this harness on a 2011 Xterra for you to take a look at so you know exactly how to install it.
