I do have the wiring harness you need for your 2005 Jeep LIberty, however the harness you currently have that is designed for a 2008 Jeep Liberty will not work. This is because there was a generational change for the Liberty starting with the 2008 model year. There were enough changes with the electrical system on the vehicle that a new custom trailer wiring harness was required starting with the 2008 model, one that will not fit or work on previous model year vehicles.
Your best option will be to sell or return the harness you have and purchase a custom harness that is designed for your generation Jeep Liberty. For your 2005 model Liberty I highly recommend the Tekonsha T-One # 118524. This will install by simply plugging into factory ports behind the driver and passenger side tail lights and then running the hot lead up to the battery. This will give you a 4-Way connector to power a trailer's basic signal lights.
I have attached an installation video that you can use for reference.
