Recommended 5th Wheel Hitch for 2019 Ford F-350 Long Bed without Prep Package

Question:

Hi. I have a 2019 Ford F-350 and needing a 5th wheel trailer hitch. The truck does NOT have the prep package so would need rails too I guess. What do you recommend? 8 Foot bed.

For your 2018 Ford F-350 with the long bed I recommend the Curt A25 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C16180. This is an excellent hitch that features an interlocking 2-jaw system and a fully articulating head that both contribute to a really smooth ride when towing your trailer. The head in particular is what sets this hitch apart from a lot of alternatives as it will do a great job of actually suppressing road shock and reducing a lot of that standard towing noise. Its self-aligning design will also allow for easier hookup when it's time to head out. The hitch has a 25,000 pound towing weight capacity.

Since your truck doesn't have the factory puck system you will indeed need to add base rails for the hitch to attach to. For this the B&W Custom Installation Kit # BWRVK2402 will work perfectly. In addition to the base rails this kit includes custom mounting brackets that will use existing holes your F-350's frame to eliminate the need for any frame drilling during installation.
