Thule XT Trunk Bike Rack Fit on 2013 BMW 128i 2-Door Convertible
Question:
I've used the Thule guide which says that the Gateway trunk rack isn't compatible with my car, but your website says it is. There is no local place to get this and see if it works. I have a ladies bike, so I would probably get the cross bar accessory. I only intend to put one bike on this car. Thanks!

I checked the online Thule FitGuide for trunk-mount bike racks that they consider to work well on your 2013 BMW 1-Series 128i 2-door convertible. The Gateway 2-bike rack # TH88VR is a confirmed fit.
Thule makes the actual fit determination for all of their racks and we mirror that information in our fit guide. Just to make absolutely sure for you I also called one of my contacts there and she confirmed the Gateway Pro 2 will work great on your BMW. The only restriction is that the convertible top cannot be operated with the rack in place.
Since you have a women's-style bike without the typical top frame tube you will need an adapter bar to help you mount the bike on the rack. You can use Thule adapter bar # TH982XT or one of the others shown on the linked page.
