How to Tow a 2011 Ford Focus with Automatic Transmission Behind a Motorhome

Question:

My Ford manual says that it can be towed just put in neutral and tow. However, the Roadmaster # 524413-1A says only good for manual trans. What model can I use on my 2011 Focus with auto trans.?

According to the owner's manual for your 2011 Ford Focus, models equipped with an automatic transmission cannot be flat-towed with all four wheels on the ground. You will need to dolly tow this vehicle with the front two wheels off of the ground. This info can be found on page 170 in the owner's manual.

For a tow dolly, I recommend the Roadmaster Tow Dolly part # RM-2050-1 because it has self-steering wheels for improved maneuvering, electric brakes for safety, and all of the required lighting. It has a 4,380 lbs weight capacity which will be more than enough for your Focus and it works with vehicle's that have up to 16" diameter wheels.

The only thing you will need to use this tow dolly is a trailer connector, part # PK12706 and a brake controller part # 90195. I have attached a review video for you as well.
