Recommended Power Inverter for 800 Watt Microwave
Question:
What size inverter would you need to run a 800 w microwave
asked by: Rod G
Expert Reply:
For an 800 watt microwave you would need an inverter with power surpassing that surge max wattage. I recommend the Power Inverter 1000 Watts with Three AC Receptacles # WC3720 for that application which has a surge power of 2500 watts. You can run other items at the same time with this inverter depending on the wattage of those other items.
If you want to be able to run multiple things with high wattage like a small refrigerator or coffee maker at the same time as the microwave, I recommend upgrading to the Go Power Heavy-Duty Modified Sine Wave Inverter - 12V - 5000 Watts # 34280179.
