No Display on Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller Part # 90885

Question:

A Prodigy came with our used truck and we never needed it until now. The display doesn’t come on and there is 12 VDC at the connector. I’m not sure which model we have but it looks like a P2. Do we need a new controller? Thanx,

Have you tried to unplug and plug the controller back in? If that does not work and you have tested the black power wire behind the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90885 and the screen does not illuminate then it will need to be replaced most likely. If you have the original receipt then you could replace it under warranty as it has a lifetime warranty but it does not sound like you do so you will need to purchase a new controller. The good news is it will be plug and play since you already have the wires ran.
