The Rhino-Rack Backbone Mounting System for Pioneer Platform - Toyota 4Runner # RRRT4B1 is a fit 2010-2018 models as that is all they have been tested on according to my contact at Rhino Rack.

There are a couple options for a Pioneer Platform compatible with your 2004 4Runner. I confirmed with them the 60" Long x 49" Wide # JA9133 will fit your vehicle.

These systems come with the SX legs like # RRSX100 that mount to the raised factory side rails and have crossbars as a part of this complete system. You don't need anything else. It basically is a roof rack and platform in one kit. Check out the attached photo and instructions for a visual. The only difference between the two kits is the size of the platform. Both are confirmed to fit your vehicle.
