Where Is Battery Connection Made for Trailer Wiring on 2018 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid

Question:

I have ordered P/N e98864 hitch receiver and 118578 wiring harness. I am confused about ability to install above, there seems to be different answers. I do not have kick opener on my limited. Will this combination work? My manual doesnt show 12v battery location. Is it in back or front of vehicle? without removing panels in back, It is not clear if it is there. I looked thru comments and didnt find definitive answer. Thanks!!

There are two batteries in your 2018 Toyota RAV4 hybrid. The one under the rear cargo area (which is the correct one to use to install trailer wiring like # 118578) and the larger one under the rear seat which you won't mess with. You'll need to open up the rear panels on the vehicle to access the battery.

The # e98864 hitch part # e98864 is also a fit for your vehicle as well. Your vehicle not having the hands free liftgate would not be an issue at all.
