Recommended Tow Dolly for 2006 Cadillac CTS-V Models

Question:

Both Blue Ox BX1646 and Roadmaster 3128-3 MX list their baseplates as for the 06-07 Cadillac CTS but not for the CTS-V. Do you know why? Is there something about the CTS-V that makes it untowable, or is it just that the front fascia is different and they wont fit easily? thanks

I reached out to my contact at RoadMaster and they said they have confirmed a fit for the CTS but the CTS-V and the Sport Package models are not a fit for drivability issues as well as trim interference.

According to the 2006 Cadillac CTS and CTS-V owners manual, you should not flat tow this vehicle. I've attached the owners manual pages to show this. I recommend using the Roadmaster Tow Dolly with Electric Brakes - 4,250 lbs # RM-2050-1 . You will also need the Pollak Black Plastic, 7-Pole, RV-Style Trailer Connector - Trailer End # PK12706 to attach to the existing wiring. I've attached a video to assist.
