Why Would Trailer Brakes of 2010 Jayco Jayflight 29RLS Pull Harder Approaching Stoplight
Question:
when starting out everything is great but after being on the road and coming to lights it seems like the brakes grab hard at the end of stopping. what could cause this and will simply replacing the brake assemblys stop it? Thanks

First thing I'd need to know is what kind of brake controller do you have? If it's time delayed the braking power is going to ramp up stronger and stronger till it reaches a pre-set amount. Typically when coming to a stoplight towing a trailer and using a time delayed controller the trailer will feel like it's pulling on the truck as you get to the stop. What you described reminds me of this.
A proportional controller like the P2 part # 90885 instead senses how much your tow vehicle is applying the brakes and applies a similar amount to the trailer brakes for the smoothest and most effective stop.
