Base Plate Kits for 2008 Jeep Wrangler with Existing Snow Plow Brackets

Question:

I have a jeep wrangler and i would like to get an adapter to mount to the bumper at the frame end for it.it would eliminate the quick connect but that is OK. i have a snow plow mount already and do not have room for the base plates.

Your only option to install the required brackets for a tow bar on your Jeep Wrangler without removing the existing snow plow mounts is with the Blue Ox Bolt-On Base Plate Kit # BX88230. This universal kit allows you to essentially create your own base plates and they will simply mount to a flat, metal section on your Jeep's bumper.

The issue though is that this base plate kit will only work with Blue Ox Tow Bars so it won't be compatible with the Roadmaster StowMaster Tow Bar # RM-501 that you referenced. Roadmaster does not have a universal base plate kit available.

For a similar cost-efficient Blue Ox Tow Bar that will work with these brackets we have the Blue Ox Adventurer # BX7322. This coupler-style tow bar features a 5,000 pound weight capacity.
