Does Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller Allow Trailer to Backup Without Brake Application

When backing up, does prodigy need to be turned off

The inertia sensor that tells your trailer brakes to apply that it's in the P3 part # 90195 that you referenced only becomes active when the brakes of your vehicle are applied. To back a trailer up with this controller would not require you to disable the controller. It would allow the trailer to back up and would only apply the trailer brakes when you press the brake pedal in your vehicle.
